Our Trail Ride Experience
Enjoy a true horse experience at Double C Ranch. Begin in the barn by brushing and grooming your horse, taking the time to connect and get comfortable together. With guidance, you'll tack up and spend some time in the round pen to connect with your horse, then move into the arena for a mini lesson to learn the horse's "buttons" (how the horse is trained). Then, relax and enjoy a peaceful trail ride across 250 acres of scenic Blue Ridge farmland.
Limited to just four riders per group, this experience offers a safe, personal way to spend time with horses and enjoy the beauty of the countryside.

Please note: We can accept reschedules of the trail ride with 48 hours advance notice. No-shows or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full price.

Christine, our founder, has years of experience in training, teaching, and horse care, with roots from a large barn in Germany.
We bring a special style of German curriculum to our teaching methods, plus the option to get certified following the Pony Club curriculum.
Our lesson horses are all well trained — German Warmbloods, American Quarter Horses, OTTBs, and a registered American Mini.
Our facility offers a warm, welcoming, judgment-free environment for all of our visitors.
